I feel misplaced.

I just wanted to post today. So this post is just out of wanting to post.

So like, I got like 85.5 on the AMC12A, and like, that’s not going to get me into AIME. So like… like yeah.

I feel misplaced.

In the non-math-competition and non-anime-manga related parts of my life, I am also failing gracefully. I haven’t done math homework in 3 days due to studying for the AMC (let’s not go back there), and I haven’t done any AP Physics homework in like a month, and I have a major test tomorrow in physics. So as you can see, I am very stressed. One week ago, at this time, I thought I would score a 120 on the AMC, laugh away not doing work for the previous half of the week, and live happily ever after. Well.

As for anime, I haven’t watched any in about 3 weeks. I’ve read manga (Negima! and various) a little, but my entertainment life has mostly been dead. I admit I have played a lot of Mabinogi, but I haven’t accomplished much in-game. Today’s the Generation 9 patch (and yes, Nexon has extended the maintenance 4 times already), so I guess I might be staying up all night playing a laggy game and wasting the best years of my life away. Just another day in the life of a a teenager without a light to follow.

lost? or purposely following the wrong path?

IT’S TIME FOR BEN’S RANDOM CORNER!

I’m… supposed to be doing homework at the moment, but no matter. Be lively, my delightful readers, as you experience yet another episode of quirky lyrical prose.

I don’t know, is “lyrical prose” an oxymoron? I kind of thought of that because of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha (where, by the way, Nanoha doesn’t really… sing… or do anything else lyrical; she just blows things up, and she’s damn good at it).

Oxymorons always bring up the phrase “four-legged tripod”, mostly because Eric somehow shoved it into my mind so many times. It’s probably not the best example of an oxymoron out there. How about “not-sleep-deprived Arcadian”? Hm, my brain is dead, somebody come up with an oxymoron that’s actually funny/interesting.

The title of this post is totally unpoetic. I’m sorry.

Anime Rating System

Okay, I’m here to explain the way I rate animes. (Basically, I’m borrowing the mage ranks from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha / StrikerS. >___>) If you were to translate my rankings into standard ratings out of 10, I suppose “B” would be “5” or average (usually in other letter-based rating systems, it’s “C”). Each “+” or “-” is worth half a point.

As I’ve said before, I’ve never given out an SSS (11 out of 10) rating before, much less anything higher. I am eagerly awaiting the day I find the anime that deserves SSS.
